MEA Members March For Our Lives

On Saturday, March 24, 2018 a handful of MEA members joined tens of thousands of activists throughout our country and the world by attending local March For Our Lives events.  Thank you to Melinda Smith, Patrick Dillon, Kathy Olwy and retiree Nancy Reisman who attended the Great Neck event.  Thank you to Karen Murphy and Hae Jung Yang who attended the New York City event.  Thank you to Julie Colbert and Anne Soldano who attended the Glen Cove event. Also, thank you to Steve Gilroy, Tony Blyskal, Holly Weinstein, Ed Vasta and retiree Carol Donhue who attended the Huntington event. Thank you to Anne Albano for attending the SUNY Old Westbury event.  Thank you to Donna Stoerger and Elizabeth Theo-Moloney for attending the SUNY Farmingdale event. United Way 2-1-1: For those members who need assistance with basic needs, we refer them to the United Way's 2-1-1 hotline which is operational in most of the affected areas. Further information regarding United Way’s 2-1-1 program and disaster guide can be found at www.211ny.org or www.uwnys.org
